Sebastien Benizri is expert of the synthesis and reactivity of oligo-nucleotides. He is involved in the SERENADE Nano-DNA project coordinated by the CEREGE in collaboration with Pr. P. Barthelemy from the ARNA research unit (Acides nucléiques : Régulations Naturelles et Artificielles, Chembiopharm team (Bordeaux - France)). The aim of the project is to explore a hypothesis on the formation of oligonucleotides from elementary bricks (nucleosides, nucleotides etc) in the presence of alumino-silicate nano-tubes (imogolites). The project is co-funded by the CNRS via the ANOP (Acides nucléiques et Nano-structures alumino-silicatées : hypothèse sur l'origine des Oligonucléotides Prébiotiques) project coordinated by Pr Barthelemy.
