“Assessing the environmental degradability of nanoproducts using an integrated approach”

The main aim of my research is to understand the environmental fate of novel nanomaterials-containing products and their effects in the aquatic ecosystem.

This focuses on the use of mesocosms in order to investigate the role of biota on the biogeochemical degradation of nanoproducts at environmentally relevant conditions and encompasses the characterization of transformation products and their potential impact on aquatic (micro)organisms.
