The LabEx Serenade congratulates Neeraj Shandilya for his "Jean Bricard" award on the 27th of January, 2015. Neeraj Shandilya was a PhD student at the INERIS, and contributed to the Serenade LabEx.

The ASFERA (Association Française d'Etude et de Recherche sur les Aérosols) annually awards the Jean Bricard prize to a young PhD researcher, this "in a spirit of promoting young french talents in French Aerosol Science "(for more information on this award, please visit the ASFERA web site).

The Bricard Award is intended to recognize the scientific work of a doctorate French student. The award consists in sponsoring the doctorate student for presenting his work to an international conference (EAC or IAC). The selection is made by the ASFERA Board. The price is named after Professor Jean Bricard (1907-1988) who was active at the University of Paris from the late 40's to the mid-70's and considered as the father of the French Aerosol Science. His work was focus mainly on the physics of the atmosphere and clouds.

This year, the Jean Bricard prize is attributed to the PhD Thesis of Neeraj Shandilya on "Study of nanoparticles emission during mechanical stress and environmental aging of products". color>

The PhD defense was the 15 january, 2015 at INERIS.

The award was presented on the January 27th, 2015 at a ceremony in connection to the French Congress of Aerosols in Paris.
