A post doctoral position at ISTerre on the study of carbonate mineral-water-oil interfaces by atomic force spectroscopy.

Context:

We currently have a postdoc position available at the geochemistry group of ISTerre (CNRS & Univ Grenoble Alpes).
The candidate will perform nanoscale-scale characterization of the carbonate mineral-water-oil interfaces and molecular interactions using mainly atomic force spectroscopy. This work will be integrated into a multidisciplinary team of geologists, physicists, and environmental chemists. The research project will be developed in collaboration with TOTAL.

Profile:

Applicants must hold a PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Material science, or a related field, and have extensive experience in force spectroscopy both in air and liquids. Knowledge about crystallization/mineralogy is desired but not a must. Excellent oral and written communications skills in both French and English are a must.

Practical informations:

Duration of contrat : 2 years

Salary: The salary will take into account previous work experience.
